I can't figure out why my Zoo Tycoon is not acknowledging that I have done everything it asked from me in this scenario and told me that I won. But that's about the only thing that went wrong today. Kevin came over early - before I had changed clothes for the day - and stayed til nearly lunch. First time he's done that and it was quite enjoyable. Got more done around here than I would have (though not on the things I had planned to do) if he hadn't been here. He also brought carrot cupcakes, which were great at lunch. After lunch, Mav and I watched Sunshine Cleaning. Through most of it, it was more of a downer than we had expected from the trailers, but the ending was upbeat enough to bring us all into a bit of (perhaps battered but still optomistic) hope! Unlike The Compleat History of America (Abridged) which is playing locally at Stages. If it plays at a live theater near you, I heartily recommend the first act, but also recommend that you leave at intermission. This evening I hope to do some work on the props and costumes for a show that opens next Tuesday. And tomorrow I have quite an adventure in store - some gruelling but interesting and quite possibly helpful auditions to watch. Gruelling? Yes, we (ours and about 34 other theaters) will be watching some 386 talent for two minutes per actor or actress over Saturday and Sunday. I've done it before, and I'm not exaggerating those numbers. I'll be a little mind dead by Sunday night, but the Tonys will perk me up, I'm sure.
Talk to you tomorrow morning, I hope.
